This Sunday our parish begins another fall season with much expectation. We are, again, going to be at 2 services and have full Sunday School and Children’s Church running.
The leadership of St. Andrew’s is so very thankful to all those who dedicate themselves to the Lord’s ministry in our local body. It takes many hands and hearts for an Anglican service to happen, as well as teachers, helpers and attendees for Sunday School. To all who serve in our King’s service in your local church body- THANK YOU!!
The Epistle of James speaks of good works as the proof of faith- not that good works produces faith, but rather that faith will, by it’s nature, be revealed in the good works of the brethren.
(James 2:14-17) What does it profit, by brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (NKJV)
You who are sharing a ride to church or a Dr’s office, you who give food and clothes to those in need, you who share your faith by word and deed- you are most blessed! For you are actively sharing Jesus with others.
May each of us be full of faith and have lives full of good works for His Kingdom. Be blessed tomorrow on our Lord’s day. In Jesus – Lauren
